Helm Wines has been successfully making Cabernet sauvignon and Cabernet blends since 1979 and has attracted numerous wine show awards and favourable critic reviews. The Canberra District region has similarities to Bordeaux and is influenced by evening easterly winds in summer (known as Bateman’s breath) which ensure cool nights and bring a hint of salt from the ocean (at Bateman’s Bay).
